My guy spent many years in and out of the prison system. More years in than out. No crimes against humanity, but crimes perpetuated by his addictions and afflictions. He lives a legal, clean and sober life now. He works diligently at being a good human, but his moods and actions sometimes show the devastation our present prison system inflicts on already compromised souls. I am not saying crime deserves to go unpunished, simply saying that our prison system needs to be revamped in a major way. We, as a people, need to find a way to truly re-habilitate rather than punish, if we want a peaceful planet. This is a controversial subject that I will return to regularly.
Back to my guy...he is an awesome carver. He creates stunning west coast Aboriginal pieces. My lesson and challenge today is to create a link to his Fine Arts America page so you can see all of his works. This is Grandfather Sun , he tells the story behind it on his FAA page.
